Joe Moche [Woodland Hills, CA] is included in the following exhibitions: Captured at Las Laguna Gallery October 3-26, 2019; Photoshoot: 2019 at Black Box Gallery October 1-20, 2019; The Architecture of Time at Boston Society of Architects, January 10-March 15, 2020.

Hunt Mercier [Texarkana, TX] is included in the Ten x Ten exhibition at the Midwest Center for Photography in Kansas. The exhibition is on view through December 31, 2019.

Wendi Schneider [Denver, CO] is exhibiting in Winter Solstice Seventh Annual Members Exhibit at The Griffin Museum of Photography opening December 10, 2019 and on view through January 3, 2020. Artist reception December 12, 2019. Schneider is also participating in the Legacies of Light - a three day festival and symposium at The Center for Creative Photography on January 17-19, 2020.

Jelisa Peterson [Austin, TX] is exhibiting at PhotoPlace Gallery in Childhood opening December 5 and on view through December 28, 2019. Peterson is also included in Portrait on view at the SE Center for Photography from December 6-28, 2019.

Laszlo Perlak's [Houston, TX] solo exhibition Inner Peace is on view at the prestigious Cloister Gallery at Christ Church Cathedral in downtown Houston.

Wes Odell's [Georgetown, TX] image The Cavalry Trooper is a Lady won a 2nd Place Award in the 2019 State Fair of Texas BW Action or Motion category.

Holly Moore [Georgetown, TX] is exhibiting her series Flea Market Treasures on view at the Williamson Country Museum opening November 1, 2019 and on view through December 21, 2019.

Jeanine Michna-Bales' [Dallas, TX] work is included in SOUTHBOUND: Photographs of and about the New South on view a the Gregg Museum of Art and Design at North Carolina State University and Power Plant Gallery at Duke University through December 29, 2019. Echoes of History is on view McDermott Library, Nebula Gallery at The University of Texas at Dallas, opening October 28, 2019 and on view through December 20, 2019.

Fran Forman's [Watertown, MA] work was recently acquired by the Boston Museum of Fine Arts. Fran has a two person exhibition on Cape Cod with Ann Mayre George this summer. And Fran's second monograph, The Rest Between Two Notes: Selected Work by Fran Forman will officially launch in September at The Strand Bookstore in New York followed launches in Boston and Texas.


Twelve images from D. Clarke Evans's [San Antonio, TX] award winning personal project Before They’re Gone: Portraits and Stories of World War II Veterans were featured in the National Museum of the Pacific War's annual membership calendar. Each veteran in featured in a contemporary portrait, a small photo from the active duty days, and a brief bio. To date Clarke has photographed over 100 World War II veterans.

Max Kellenberger's [San Fransisco, CA] solo exhibition–Entropy opened November 1, 2018, from 6-8:00pm at Rick Wester Fine Art in New York, NY and was on view through January 5, 2019.

Cheryl Medow's [Santa Barbara, CA] Envisioning Habitat series was included in the Nature Imagined exhibition at the Wildling Museum in Solvang, CA, July 20, 2018, through January 2019.

Diana H. Bloomfield [Raleigh NC] exhibited her tri-color gum bichromate prints from The Old Garden series, along with platinum/palladium prints by Sal Taylor-Kydd, in their exhibit entitled Recollections, at Panopticon Gallery, in Boston, Massachusetts. This exhibit, curated by Panopticon Gallery Director, Kat Kiernan, opened November 3 and is on view through January 2, 2019.

Sharon Joines's [Wharton, TX] images were included in a group exhibition titled A Trip to Wharton, curated by Suzanne Street, on view at The Women's Institute of Houston through December 15, 2018.

Las Colinas Country Club in Irving, TX, hosted it's First Annual Las Colinas CC Regional Invitational Art Exhibit in November, which featured work by Hugh Adams [Irving, TX].

Tom Chambers [Richmond, VA] released his new book, Hearts and Bones, in October. The following events were scheduled to share his book and exhibit the work: November 2, 2018, 6-8:00pm—book signing and exhibition at Glave Kocen Gallery in Richmond, VA; and November 30, 2018—book signing and Hearts and Bones exhibition at Photoeye Gallery in Santa Fe, NM.

Juror Julie Grahame selectedParallel Universe by Adrienne Villar [Houston, TX] for the Open Call: No Dogs, No Children, No Horses, No Nudes exhibition at South x Southeast Photogallery in Molena, GA, from November 1-30, 2018.

Both Sides Now, composite work by Catherine Fairchild [Houston, TX] was selected for Wonder at the Center for Fine Art Photography, Fort Collins, CO, October 5, 2018, through March 31, 2019. This image combines both sides of an antique cabinet card dated 1881. The young woman is unknown, but the original photographer was F. D. Moon, of Greenville, Pennsylvania.

Marjorie Nichols [Sommerville, MA] will have her series, exhibited her series, We'll Fix You on view as part of the Portfolio Showcase in conjunction with the exhibition Moved to Act!, which opened Saturday, October 27 at Davis Orton Gallery and was on view through November 25, 2018.

Molly McCall [Carmel Valley, CA] was included in Empire of Dirt presented by Dab Art and showing at H Gallery in Ventura, CA. through November 25, 2018. Molly is also participating in the 5th Biennial of Fine Art & Documentary Photography at the Barcelona FotoBiennale, throughout October. A New Exhibit: Fire in the Belly, featured work by Kay Kenny [South Orange, NJ] at Burnette Gallery in Woodstock, NY, through November 25, 2018.

Work by Patrick O’Brien [Georgetown, TX] has been accepted into the was exhibited inVisions 2D Juried Show at the Sacramento Fine Arts Center in Carmichael, CA, October 30 through November 18, 2018.

Diane Fenster [Pacifica, CA] was one of 16 artists selected for the 2018 National Photography Fellowship Competition - Develop Work at the Midwest Center for Photography in Wichita, KS, for her HY•ST•ER•IA: Body as Battleground series, on display October 26 through November 16, 2018, with a reception October 26 from 7-9:00pm.

Carol Schiraldi [Cedar Park, TX] exhibited 2 pieces in the Abandoned Buildings exhibition at the Blank Wall Gallery in Athens, Greece, which was on view October 26 through November 7, 2018. Carol also had 2 prints accepted into Creating Global Kitchens at the Office of International Affairs at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX.

Life in Analog included work by Phil Harvey [Fort Worth, TX] at Fort Works Arts in Fort Worth, TX, from October 17 through November 10, 2018.

AfterImage Gallery in Dallas, TX, debuted To Insure Domestic Tranquility, a solo exhibition by Fran Forman [Watertown, MA], September 8 through November 3, 2018.

Kent Krugh [Fairfield, TX] curated the exhibition, New World: Refugees and Immigrants Photograph the Experience of a New Life in America, for the University of Cincinnati Clermont College, Park National Bank Art Gallery in Batavia, OH. The exhibition was on view September 4 through October 31, 2018. The show was part of the FotoFocus Biennial, the photography festival in Cincinnati, OH.

Diana H. Bloomfield [Raleigh, NC] juried the 'Unique: alternative processes 2018' exhibition at A Smith Gallery, in Johnson City, Texas, which was on view from September 7 through October 27. Diana also had a selection of her gum bichromate images, curated by gallery owners, Amanda Smith and Kevin Tully, exhibited at the gallery from October 12 through November 18. Diana also taught a gum bichromate workshop, through the A Smith Gallery, in Johnson City at the end of October.

A River Made of Time and Memory, an exhibition of work by Susan Keiser [Ossining, NY] opened at Anchorlight Gallery in Raleigh, NC, from October 5-28, 2018.

Waiting, a work by Tamara Gunter [Austin, TX], was chosen by juror Michael Pannier for the Trees exhibition, which was on view at Darkroom Gallery in Essex Junction, VT, September 20 through October 28, 2018. This image is a peek into Patrick Dougherty's art installation in Pease Park.

The Cumberland Gallery in Nashville, TN, exhibited 18 prints from What Is Left Behind — Stories from Estate Sales by Norm Diamond [Dallas, TX] from September 15 through October 27, 2018, with a reception September 15. The gallery has listed thumbnails of all 18 images here. The book may be purchased at the gallery or this link.

Home Fires, featuring work by Marilyn Maxwell [Santa Fe, NM], opened at the Fort Worth Community Art Center in Fort Worth, TX, on October 5, 2018, and was on view through October 26, 2018.

The Fort Worth Community Arts Center in Fort Worth, TX, hosted an artist reception October 5, 2018, to celebrate the opening of a new exhibit, entitled From Janie to Janie, by Becky Wilkes [Azle, TX]. This series explored the implications of our throwaway society through the examination of debris collected from the shoreline of Eagle Mountain Lake, near Fort Worth, TX. The exhibit was on view through October 26, 2018, and contains 9 original pieces and an installation of found objects inspired by the nearly 6,000 individual pieces of trash collected by Wilkes.

Wendi Schneider [Denver, CO] had a solo exhibit of a selection of images from States of Grace at A Smith Gallery in Johnson City, TX, from August 17 through October 7, 2018, with a reception September 29, 2018. She also had work at the Robert Anderson Gallery in Denver, CO, through August 8, 2018; the Los Angeles Center of Photography's Members' Exhibit through September 7, 2018; the Quién? Qué? Dundee? exhibition at the Griffin Museum of Photography in Boston, MA, through October 10, 2018, and the Barcelona Foto Biennale in Spain from October 4-21, 2018.

Susan Hillyard [Santa Cruz, CA] hosted her final Open Studio moving sale in Santa Cruz, CA, October 20-21, 2018.

Sharon O'Callaghan Shero [Dallas, TX] participated in the White Rock Lake Artists' Studio Tour in Dallas, TX, October 13-14, 2018.

Mabry Campbell [Houston, TX] exhibited Light Transitions at Catherine Couturier Gallery in Houston, TX, from September 8 through October 13, 2018.

The Whole Damn Cheese: Maggie Smith, Border Legend, by Bill Wright [Abilene, TX], is now available for purchase. It's the first book devoted entirely to the woman whose life in the Big Bend country has become the stuff of legend. For more than twenty years—from 1943 until her death in 1965—Maggie Smith served folks on both sides of the border as a doctor, lawyer, midwife, herbalist, banker, self-appointed justice of the peace, and coroner. As she put it, she was “the whole damn cheese” in Hot Springs, TX.

Tom Chambers [Richmond, VA] released his new book, Hearts and Bones, in October. The following events were scheduled to share his book and exhibit the work: September 30, 2018—discussion on Demystifying Book Publication and book signing at Filter Photo Festival in Chicago, IL and October 5, 2018—book signing and exhibition at the Chase Young Gallery in Boston, Massachusetts.

Molly McCall [Carmel Valley, CA] was named a Top 10 Finalist in the FRESH 2018 Annual Summer Show at Klompching Gallery in Brooklyn, NY. The Los Angeles Center of Photography featured Molly's work in the Third Annual Fine Art Exhibition and also the Fifth Annual Members' Exhibition.

Shawn Saumell [Aubrey, TX] had a solo-exhibition of new large scale photographs on brushed aluminum [Paradise Lost] at the Mary Tomas Gallery in the Dallas Design District, Dallas, TX, through October 8, 2018.

The New Jersey State Council on the Arts Fellowship Awards in Visual Arts Exhibition, featured work by Kay Kenny [South Orange, NJ], at Wheaton Arts Center in Millville, NJ, from August 25 through October 7, 2018.

As a part of Fotoseptiembre in San Antonio, TX, Ed Malcik (Austin, TX) exhibited 30 prints, titled Selling the Alamo and Other Photos, at Mockingbird Handprints Gallery in the Blue Star complex from September 6-30, 2018. Ed gave gallery talk Shooting on the Street: Paris, Chennai, New York, Austin, San Antonio on September 14, 2018.

George Nobechi [Tokyo, Japan] exhibited his first large show in the United States, titled Unmoored, from August 11 through September 20, 2018, at the Jackson Dinsdale Art Center at Hastings College in Hastings, NE. The opening reception took place August 11, 2018, and George was present to give a talk.

Portraits of Immigrants, a solo show by Lupita Murillo Tinnen [Oak Point, TX], was on display at Cedar Valley College Educational Art Gallery in Lancaster, TX, from August 20 through September 28, 2018. An artist talk took place September 20 at 3:15pm in the gallery.

Don Russell [McKinney, TX] exhibited 22 prints in a solo show, Cowboys of Color, at The Stark Museum of Art in Orange, TX, from June 16 through September 29, 2018.

Great Blue Heron At Rest by Cheryl Medow [Santa Barbara, CA] is included in the LensWorks 25th Anniversary Issue.

Wendi Schneider [Denver, CO] was featured in the article, Early Work of Women - Polaroid Transfers and Hand-Painted Photographs, published by Edge of Humanity in August 2018. Wendi was also recognized as the Spotlight Artist in Denver Life magazine.

The Texas Hill Country:A Photographic Adventure (Texas A&M Press) by Michael Marvins [Houston, TX] will be released in October. 100% of the author's royalties benefit Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation. Twenty State Parks, Natural Areas and Historic Sites are located in Texas Hill Country. The book includes over 275 photographs with commentary by Roy Flukinger as well as Houston Chronicle columnist and author Joe Holley. Endorsements by Earl Nottingham, Chief Photographer, Texas Parks and Wildlife.

KC Hulsman's [Hurst, TX] image This Side of the Pond was just awarded Second Place at the 2018 IAA Animal Art Competition & Exhibition in the Challenge Category: Frogs and Toads.

The book, Mexico Between Life and Death, by Harvey Stein [New York, NY] will be released in print on September 18, 2018, by Kehrer Publishers. Photoville will host an author talk and book signing September 23 from 1-2:00pm at Leica Pavilion, Brooklyn Bridge Plaza in New York, NY.

2018 Art Hop at the Georgetown Art Center in Georgetown, TX, selected Just a Few Seconds More (below) by Wes Odell [Georgetown, TX] for the exhibition.

A mini portfolio of images by Stephen Evans [Dallas, TX] won Second Place in The Prix de la Photographie Paris and was projected in a Paris Gallery during July 2018. One image from his Projected Forms portfolio was accepted for the 13th Annual TAC Exhibit in the Fort Worth Community Arts Center, Fort Worth, TX, from August 3-28, 2018. Two photos were also selected by Through the Lens: Dallas Arts District Photography Competition. Jurors included Mayor of Dallas, Director of the DMA, Director of Nasher Sculpture Center, and the Dean of SMU School of Arts.

Juror Guy Tal selected Good Anywhere by Steve Knight [Baytown, TX] for the Color exhibition at the Southeast Center for Photography, in Greenville, SC, from August 3-25, 2018.

Kathleen B. Donovan's [Dallas, TX] photograph, One Plus Two, received 8th place out of 1900 photos entered to The Photo Review’s 2018 International Competition. Sarah Meister, Photography Curator, Museum of Modern Art, New York, was the juror for this year's competition. Kathleen's print will be exhibited at the University of the Arts Photography Gallery, Philadelphia, PA, during November 2018 as well as reproduced in The Photo Review Journal and website.

Hugh Adams [Irving, TX] was awarded First Place for his print Dying Daisy in Advanced Color and First Place for his print White Horse in a Fog in Advanced Monochrome from the Dallas Camera Club's July Photography Competition.

Moody Performance Hall by Cecelia Feld [Dallas, TX] was selected by the jury of Through The Lens: Dallas Arts District (DAD) photography competition. The winning photographs will be featured in a hard cover book which will be available for sale throughout the DAD.

Kay Kenny [South Orange, NJ] opened her studio as part of the 2017 Saugerties Artists Studio Tour on August 11-12, 2018.

Ellen Jantzen's [Santa Fe, NM] most recent series of photomontages, Unexpected Geology, is featured in the current issue of Ragazine (The Global Online Magazine of Arts, Information and Entertainment - July/August 2018, Volume 14, Number 4).

The New Jersey State Council on the Arts hosted Navigating Elements, the 2018 Arts Annual Exhibition, with work by Kay Kenny [South Orange, NJ] at Rowan University Art Gallery in Glassboro, NJ, from April 28 through July 28, 2018.

The exhibit Women Seen by Women exhibited during April 2018 at Galeria Valid Foto in Barcelona, Spain, and Fran Forman's [Watertown, MA] series, In the Shadows, was awarded First Place runner up. Visual Narration: Digital Paintings, with new work by Fran, was also on display at Pucker Gallery in Boston, MA, from June 2 through July 22, 2018.

Work by Jeanine Michna-Bales [Dallas, TX] was recently acquired by The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art and the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.

Dennis Fritsche [Plano, TX] and Hugh Adams [Irving, TX] had photos selected by Charlie Cramer for the Members' Juried Exhibition 2018 at the Center for Photographic Art in Carmel, CA. Also, Hugh placed first in the Advanced Color and Black & White Photo Contest with the Dallas Camera Club in June.

Molly McCall [Carmel Valley, CA] was awarded Best in Show by the Colorado Photographic Arts Center for her image Chance. Molly also received an Honorable Mention in the 11th Annual Julia M. Camera Award as well as the 11th Annual Pollux Award. Additionally, she was recently featured in an interview with both RFotoFolio and Shape Shift Report, No.44.

Gray Day in the Park by Susan Hanson [San Marcos, TX] was selected to appear in the exhibit Personal Perspective at the Darkroom Gallery in Essex Junction, VT, from June 7 through July 15, 2018.

Jane Paradise [Provincetown, MA] exhibited in The Tip: Images from the Outer Cape, a 2-person show at The Gallery UPSTAIRS in Orleans, MA, from May 28 through July 10, 2018.

Ray Kingsbury's [Southlake, TX] image Beauty of Aging was selected for Still Life, juried by Kate Breakey, at A Smith Gallery in Johnson City, TX, from May 26 through July 1, 2018.

Eight Photographers in China featured work by Carol Schiraldi [Cedar Park, TX] and represented 8 different photographers who traveled to Guilin, China, during fall 2017. The exhibition hung May 19 through June 30, 2018, at the Camera Commons Gallery in Dover, NH.

Kent Krugh [Fairfield, OH] exhibited Speciation - Still a Camera (x-rays) at Panopticon Gallery in Boston, MA, from May 3 through June 27, 2018.

Unearthing Series by Marcy Palmer [Dallas, TX] hung at Brazos Gallery, Richland College in Dallas, TX, May 14 through June 22, 2018.

A group exhibition, An Affair in Black and White, includes work by Carol Andrews [Missouri City, TX] at The Gallery at Round Top in Round Top, TX, with an opening June 16, 2018.

Don Russell [McKinney, TX] had work featured in Celebrating Women at PhotoPlace Gallery in Middlebury, VT, from May 2 through May 26, 2018.

Carol Lyon's [Bastrop, TX] bird abstractions were recently featured in the main gallery at the Lost Pines Art Center in Bastrop, TX. Her work was also awarded an Honorable Mention in Nature/Wildlife in this year's PX3 the Prix de la Photographie Paris and won ViewBug's Natural Abstractions challenge in June.

Jim Riche's [Dallas, TX] series on The Salton Sea won a Bronze Award from PX3 Prix de la Photographie Paris in the Press Nature/Environment category. This series has also been featured in Dodho Magazine. Jim and his wife also have a book coming out on August 7, 2018, titled Mod Mirage – Midcentury Architecture of Rancho Mirage published by Gibbs Smith.

Far From the Madding Crowd, an exhibition of work by Judy Brown [Natick, MA] hung at Griffin Museum of Photography in Winchester, MA, from April 10 through June 11, 2018.

KC Hulsman [Hurst, TX] hosted a 2-day art pop-up within the Pottery Barn store at Southlake’s Town Square on June 9-10, 2018. A portion of the proceeds from every sold piece of art were donated to Pottery Barn’s corporately sponsored charity, Saint Jude’s Children Research Hospital and their lifesaving mission.

Good Luck with the Sun, featuring new work by Krista Steinke [Cypress, TX], opened April 28, 2018, at Women & Their Work in Austin, TX, and remained on view through June 7, 2018.

Texas Highways by Ray Kingsbury [Southlake, TX] won first place in the Messina Hof Texas Artist Wine Label Competition and will be used as the label on an upcoming wine release. His image Dunes exhibited in Patterns & Shadows at Jadite Gallery in New York, NY, during April 2018, sponsored by New York Center for Photographic Art.

Molly McCall [Carmel Valley, CA] exhibited work from her Nothing comes from Nothing series at FOCUS Photo L.A. Gallery in Los Angeles, CA, and FilterPhoto in Chicago, IL, from March 16 through April 28, 2018. This series also received the EMERGE award from the Midwestern Center for Photography. Additionally, 2 images from Nothing comes from Nothing were selected for the 8th Annual Fine Art of Photography show at Plymouth Center for the Arts in Plymouths, MA, on view May 6 through June 2, 2018.

Malcolm Easton [Berkeley, CA] had 3 prints in The Still Life exhibition at Southeast Center for Photography in Greenville, SC, from April 13-May 19, 2018.

At Risk, an exhibition about disappearing animals by Marilyn Maxwell [Santa Fe, NM] was on display at A Smith Gallery in Johnson City, TX, through May 20, 2018.

Ryn Clarke’s [Chagrin Falls, OH] project After Dark: The Last Picture Show is featured in the June 2018 issue of Lenswork Magazine.

Holly Thompson [New Braunfels, TX] was awarded an Honorable Mention for her image Living Room Fort in Personal Perspective at Darkroom Gallery in Essex Junction, VT.

Thelma Pilley [Lubbock, TX] was awarded First Place and Ann McDonald [Lubbock, TX] was awarded an Honorable Mention in the PhotoPlains! Exhibit, Lubbock, TX.

Blue by Sandra Chen Weinstein [Lake Forrest, CA] was selected for Portraits at A Smith Gallery in Johnson City, TX, on display March 30 through May 13, 2018.

Chet Morrison [Dallas, TX] was invited to display several of his photographs in an exhibition at the Hudson River Museum in Yonkers, NY. The show was titled The Neo-Victorians: Contemporary Artists Revive Gilded-Age Glamour, and hung from February 10, 2018, through May 13, 2018.

Wendi Schneider [Denver, CO] had work on display in Faculty, Members, Alumni at The Los Angeles Center of Photography in Los Angeles, CA, April 13 through May 18, 2018, as well as in Illuminate at The Center for Fine Art Photography in Fort Collins, CO, from April 6 through May 12, 2018.

John Van Beekum's [Miami Shores, FL] image Gun (World Gone Wrong) was selected for PhotoSpiva 2018, which was on display in the Main Gallery at the Spiva Center for the Arts in Joplin, MO, from March 17 through May 12, 2018.

Richard Orton [Nacogdoches, TX] exhibited The Upshaw’s of County Line: An American Family at Texas Folklife in Austin, TX, on May 10, 2018. Richard gave a gallery talk, and a member of the Upshaw family was present to comment on the work.

500X Gallery in Dallas, TX, presented a 2-person exhibition, Constructing the Psychographic by H. Jennings Sheffield [Woodway, TX] and Chris Ireland [Granbury, TX], on view through May 6, 2018.

Kat Moser [Snowmass, CO] exhibited new work in the show Color of Emotion at the Red Brick Center for the Arts in Aspen, CO, through April 26, 2018.

An opening and book signing for Arthur Meyerson [Houston, TX] took place March 17, 2018, at the Red and White Gallery, a FotoFest Participating Gallery, in Fayetteville, TX. The exhibition hung through April 21, 2018.

Susan Keiser [Ossining, NY] exhibits Portraits at Catalyst Gallery in Beacon, NY, April 14-15, 2018, and April 21-22, 2018.

Moments in Time, with photographs by David J. Kerr [Houston, TX] and Lou Vest [Houston, TX], hung at Summer Street Studios in Houston, TX, as part of the FotoFest Biennial. The show was on display March 10 through April 22, 2018.

A limited edition portfolio of Through Darkness to Light: Photographs Along the Underground Railroad 2002-2016 by Jeanine Michna-Bales [Dallas, TX] was released at The Photography Show by AIPAD in April 2018.

One of Philip Goodman's [Dallas, TX] photos was one of 18 works of art chosen from over 400 entries from DCCD students to appear in the District Art Exhibition at the District office main entry and lobby, which hangs through November.

Aint-Bad.com published a feature about Malcolm Easton's [Berkeley, CA] work on April 17, 2018.

Steve Knight's [Baytown, TX] photo High Plains Homestead (below) was recently awarded an Honorable Mention by juror Tim Anderson for The Gala Awards Urban & Rural Landscape contest. It was on display during The World Through My Eyes exhibition April 10–April 28, 2018, at the Gallery Valid Foto in Barcelona, Spain. Steve also had 2 photos, A Dream of My Grandmother and Alice and George, on display at A Smith Gallery in Johnson City, TX, from February 23 through March 31, 2018, during the exhibition Being Set Free.

Steve Knight [Baytown, TX] and Dion McInnis [League City, TX] were featured in Meditation: Seeking Enlightenment, a group exhibition at Sterling Municipal Library in Baytown, Texas. The show was part of the FotoFest Biennial 2018 and opened March 24, 2018, with a public reception and art walk.

Molly McCall [Carmel Valley, CA] had work included in Memory, a group exhibition, at the Midwest Center for Photography in Wichita, KS, from February 23 through March 16, 2018. Her image Chance was selected for both Lens 2018 at Perspective Fine Art Gallery in Evanston, IL, hanging March 1 through April 1, 2018, as well as Myths, Legends, and Dreams at PhotoPlace Gallery in Middlebury, VT, on display from March 7-31, 2018. Molly was featured in the Current Talk section of Gentry Magazine, January 2018 issue.

Refugee is Not My Name, a traveling exhibition with photographs by Ashley St.Clair [Austin, TX], opened March 22, 2018, at Lewis Carnegie in Austin, TX. The event benefited iACT for Refugees, an organization that provides English as a Second Language and cultural skills courses to recently resettled refugees in Austin.

American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP) Houston and Serrano Gallery, Houston, TX, hosted Exhibition of Five Visions in conjunction with the FotoFest Biennial 2018. This was a group show comprising works by 5 ASMP artists, including Narinder Sall [Tomball, TX]. The exhibition, curated by Clint Willour, hung March 3-31, 2018.

Knoweth Not (below) by Shawn Saumell [Aubrey, TX] was award First Place, out of nearly 1,300 images, by Juror Darren Ching for the show Portals at the New York Center For Photographic Art.

Russ Morris [Round Rock, TX] was recognized as JPG Magazine Member of the Week, March 16-23, 2018.

Wendi Schneider [Denver, CO] had her first solo exhibit of 24 gilded vellum prints from the States of Grace series (image below) at Galeria Photo/Graphic in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, which opened January 13, 2018. A second solo show of selections from States of Grace was held at The Griffin Museum of Photography, March 6 through April 10, 2018, in Winchester, MA. She also had work included in Curator's Choice at Galeria Photo/Graphic, Illuminate at the Center For Fine Art Photography in Fort Collins, CO from April 6-28, 2018, and Peripheral Visions at PH21 Gallery in Budapest, Hungary, from March 22 through April 14, 2018.

Melinda Green Harvey [Lubbock, TX] will be the 2018 PhotoPlains! juror. PhotoPlains! is the West Texas Photographic Society of Lubbock's annual open juried exhibition. The exhibit will open May 5, 2018, as part of Lubbock's First Friday Art Trail at the Lubbock Municipal Garden & Arts Center.

Photographic work by KC Hulsman [Hurst, TX] titled, Wide Open Spaces, was part of the 3rd Annual Conroe Art League National Invitational Show, which featured 100 pieces from 95 artists selected by Juror Peter Andrew. The show hung March 7–31, 2018, at the Gallery at the Madeley Building in Conroe, TX, with a reception and awards ceremony on March 24, 2018.

Bob Schwartz [Houston, TX] exhibited a solo show, The Mexican Rodeo, at the Cloisters Gallery in Houston, TX, from February 26 through March 30, 2018. Two images from his exhibit were selected to hang in the Brown Gallery at Rice University.

Chasing The Unexpected-Explorations In Collage, an exhibit by Cecelia Feld [Dallas, TX], hung at the Greenville Center for Creative Arts in Greenville, SC, from February 2 through March 28, 2018.

The North Austin Photographic Society's 2017 1st place Critic's Choice award went to Russ Morris [Round Rock, TX] for his portrait, Gary, selected by Randy Kerr. Russ' print was included in a show of 2017 competition winners from January 29 through March 25, 2018, at Precision Camera & Video in Austin, TX.

Alexandra Nemeth and Laszlo Perlaky [Houston, TX] were invited artists to The Future of Humanity FotoFest 2018. They exhibited 12 images at JoMar Visions Gallery in Houston, TX, where they were present March 17, 18 and 23, 2018.

Supercut (below), from Sharon O'Callaghan Shero's [Dallas, TX] series Dark Matters, was selected for the Visual Arts Society of Texas' 12th Annual 125-Mile Visual Arts Exhibition at Patterson-Appleton Arts Center in Denton, TX, from January 13 through February 24, 2018. Sharon also had a solo exhibition of photography, photomontage and mixed media at the Addison Conference Center in Addison, TX. Her piece Go Ask Alice, When She’s Ten Feet Tall appeared in the 24th Annual El Corazon Exhibition, February 3 through March 17, 2018.

Malcolm Easton [Berkeley, CA] had 9 prints in the UNCANNY exhibition at Walker Fine Art, Denver CO, from January 20 through March 10, 2018.

Art Base presented Light Study, which featured nature-based fine art photography by a range of Roaring Fork Valley artists, including Kat Moser [Snowmass, CO], at Palladium in Basalt, CO.

Two of Pia Greenberg's [Friendswood, TX] photographs were selected for the February Juried show at the Galveston Art League Gallery on Galveston Island. One of her photographs was selected for the March Juried show at the Galveston Art League Gallery in Texas City, TX.

The Unicorn Publishing Group will publish Hearts and Bones, a 208-page 11” x 11” retrospective book of all 9 photomontage series (and 125 images) by Tom Chambers [Richmond, VA]. The introduction for this book was written by Elizabeth Avedon, and the book is currently available for pre-order on photo-eye.

Paul Greenberg [Dallas, TX] had 2 images selected for Decisive Moment at PhotoPlace Gallery in Middlebury, VT, and an image chosen for Light and Shadow at the Umbrella Arts Gallery in New York, NY. Paul was also part of group show, True South, at Photographs Do Not Bend Gallery in Dallas, TX.

Laura J. Bennett [Auburn, CA] was recently interviewed on Strange Fire about her work, Dames of Anatomy.

An image of Maasai junior warriors by Jill Jordan [Dallas, TX] was accepted for the Family online exhibition at Passporte Salon. Her image Hear our Voice was chosen for the State of America exhibit at PhotoPlace Gallery in Middlebury, VT, was on display January 3-27, 2018. Also, 2 images were chosen by Sam Abell for the Decisive Moment show at PhotoPlace Gallery, hanging January 31 through February 24, 2018.

Kerr Arts and Cultural Center in Kerrville, TX, hosted Dulce Bytes: An Exhibit of Digital Art, featuring work by Thomas Athey [Austin, TX], February 1-25, 2018; a reception with artist talks took place February 3.

Two of Julie Mize's [Brownwood, TX] photographs were selected by juror Randy Ziegler for the 2018 Photography Show of The Granbury Camera Club (with Lake Granbury Art Association). The exhibit was on view at the Shanley House in Granbury, TX, through February 24, 2018.

KC Hulsman [Hurst, TX] was named an emerging artist for this year’s Main Street Fort Worth Arts Festival, which will be held April 19-22, 2018, in Fort Worth, Texas.

A portrait of Larry Schaaf by Frank Armstrong [West Boylston, MA] was awarded Juror's Award in the Portrait 2017 exhibition at the Center for Fine Art Photography in Ft Collins, Co.

Cathy Kimball, Juror for the Portfolio ShowCase Volume 11 Exhibition and Publication at The Center for Fine Art Photography in Fort Collins, CO, named Laura J. Bennett [Auburn, CA] for the ShowCase Award Selected Artist.

Narinder Sall [Tomball, TX] was 1 of 5 ASMP photographers, selected by juror Clint Willour, whose work was exhibited at the Serrano Gallery in Houston, TX, during the Fotofest 2018 Biennial. The show included 10 of his images of the Golden Temple. Following the Path was published in the Fotofest 2018 Biennial catalog.

Stephen Evans [Dallas, TX] had 4 images accepted into the PSAChina Special Theme 2017 in the category of Women. One image has received the award of GPU HM (Global Photographic Union honorable mention). The award image and some of the accepted images will be shown in the Beijing Exhibition in 2018, and all accepted work was published in a catalog in March 2018.

Willetta Crowe's [Nocona, TX] photograph Adobe & Ladder (below) was selected to be a part of Texas Tech’s International Cultural Center’s High & Dry XVll Photography Exhibition, which ran through January 31, 2018.

Let There Be Light (and Shadow), juried by Harvey Stein, featured work by Robert Herman [New York, NY] at the Umbrella Arts Gallery in New York, NY, February 1 through March 3, 2018.

Texas Tech’s International Cultural Center’s High & Dry XVll Photography Exhibition, juried by Greg Davis, included 3 prints by Glenn Rudd [Georgetown, TX]: Heart of Gold (Antelope Canyon, Page AZ), Milky Way Hoodoos (Escalante National Monument, UT), and Window Rock (Monument Valley AZ). Glenn also exhibited work at Impressions Gallery, Saint David's Hospital in Georgetown, TX, from December 1, 2017, through February 2, 2018.

Avian - Birds In a Changing World included 2 images (one below) by Cheryl Medow [Santa Barbara, CA] at the Sierra Art Trails (Gallery 5), CA, from December 6, 2017, through January 14, 2018. Six images by Cheryl were also included in NOPA Currents 2017 at the Ogden Museum of Southern Art in New Orleans, LA, from December 7, 2017, through February 4, 2018.

Ordinary Time, a solo show by Chris Ireland [Granbury, TX] opened at 500X Gallery in Dallas, TX, on January 13 and remained on display through February 11, 2018.

Catherine Fairchild's [Houston, TX] sticky-note image Georgia, from her Nota Bene series, was chosen by juror Adam Finkelston for inclusion in The Abstract Image exhibition at the Southeast Center for Photography in Greenville, SC, January 5-27, 2018.

Adrienne Defendi [Palo Alto, CA] had 8 images from her series Dwelling in Possibility on view at Photolab Gallery in Berkeley, CA, through January 20, 2018.

Frank Armstrong [West Boylston, MA] exhibited a solo show, Often in a Different Landscape, at Gallery Kayafas in Boston, MA, from December 15, 2017, through January 20, 2018.

The Granbury Camera Club hosted natural light photographer Randy Ziegler [Granbury, TX] on January 16, 2018, at the Shanley House in Granbury, TX. His lecture, Revelatory Moments: Seeing the Extraordinary in the Ordinary, offered insight into his visionary process as he captures the moments of life that most people never notice.

D. Clarke Evans’s [San Antonio, TX] exhibition, Before They’re Gone: Portraits & Stories of World War II Veterans, was on display at the National Museum of the Pacific War in Fredericksburg, TX, through January 14, 2018.

Hugh Adams [Irving, TX] was awarded First Place for his image Windows/Doors by the Dallas Camera Club during December 2017.

Anne Duncan's [Austin, TX] image Red and Blue Lupine #1 was part of the Small Works exhibition at the The Center for Fine Art Photography in Fort Collins, CO, from November 17, 2017, to January 6, 2018.

The 13th Annual People’s Gallery Juried Exhibition opened at Austin City Hall in Austin, TX, in February 2017, including work by Thomas Athey [Austin, TX] among nearly 100 artists. The show remained on display throughout 2017. Thomas' work was also on view at the Dougherty Arts Center in Austin, TX, October 28, 2017, through January, 6, 2018. The show titled, A Natural Selection, featured 25 of his new collages.

Shawn Saumell's [Aubrey, TX] work was featured in the show La Frontera of Education at the Latino Cultural Center in Dallas, TX, November 10, 2017, through January 6, 2018.

Stephen Evans [Dallas, TX] had a photograph in the Irene Rosenzweig 2017 Juried Biennial Exhibition at the Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas in Pine Bluff, AR, from September 21, 2017, through January 6, 2018.

Juror Sam Abell chose 2 images by Ann McDonald [Lubbock, TX] for The Decisive Moment exhibition at PhotoPlace Gallery in Middlebury, VT. Sunrise on the Ganges will hang in the gallery itself, and Prayers on the Ganges is included in the online show.

Kent Krugh's [Fairfield, OH] project Speciation: Still a Camera was featured in the December issue of the online zine Adore Noir.

Adrienne Defendi [Palo Alto, CA] had 5 photographs in the 7th Annual International Holga Out of the Box at Tammy Cromer Gallery in Dallas, TX, from November 11 through December 30, 2017. She received Best of Show for her image Riverchild Dreams (below). She also exhibited Beautiful Death 55 from the series Relinquish in the Society for Photographic Education show, Is Photography Enough? juried by Joshua Farr, Executive Director of the Vermont Center for Photography in Brattleboro, VT, during November 2017.

Two of Kristin Ware's [Huntsville, TX] photos, including Beyond the Scroll below, were accepted into Holga Out of the Box at Tammy Cromer Gallery in Dallas, TX, which hung November 11 through December 30, 2017.

Santa Bannon Gallery in the Banana Factory in Bethlehem, PA, featured work by Harris Fogel [Springfield, PA] from projects spanning 40 years of his photography. The show hung November 1 through December 30, 2017.

Shawn Saumell [Aubrey, TX] had a solo exhibition (image below) at JM Gallery in Dallas, TX, from November 11 through December 23, 2017.

The School of Visual Arts presented Street Smart: The Intersection of Art and Design in the City, a multimedia exhibition featuring work by Robert Herman [New York, NY], November 18 through December 20, 2017, at the SVA Chelsea Gallery in New York, NY.

The 2017 International Juried Exhibition included work by Molly McCall [Carmel Valley, CA], at the Center for Photographic Art in Carmel, CA7. Molly had work in the 13th Annual Alternative Processes Competition at Soho Photo Gallery in New York, NY, through November 4, 2017, and in the 2nd Annual Alternative Process Photography Competition at The Image Flow in Mill Valley, CA, through November 22, 2017. Additionally, one of Molly's images was chosen for the cover of Diffusion IX, the annual photographic publication. An accompanying interview was also launched the same week. Read more here.

Juror Cindy Lisica chose Service (below), one of Narinder Sall's [Tomball, TX] images from The Golden Temple in India, for the Visual Arts Alliance 35th Juried Membership Exhibition, which hung recently at Spring Street Studios in Houston, TX.

Robert Moore [Dallas, TX] won the Press Club of Dallas Hugh Aynesworth Award for News Photography for his image in the daily newspaper feature, Dallas Photographer Shielded by Police Officer during Shooting Captures the Moment, July 7, 2016. (Moore pictured below on left).

KC Hulsman's [Hurst, TX] image Texas Longhorn - II received Honorable Mention in the recent 2017 IAA National Animal Art Juried Exhibition and was included in the IAA Traveling Animal Art Exhibit, which ran October 7 through November 26, 2017, at the Irving Arts Center in Irving, TX. Her work also appeared in the 2017 IAA Photography Exhibition, juried by Mark Thompson, October 29 through December 1, 2017, at the Jaycee Parks Center for the Arts in Irving, TX.
