In partnership with the Association of Texas Photography Instructors (ATPI), TPS is proud to offer the 2024 TPS International Student Competition for current high school, middle, and elementary school students.

All skill levels are encouraged, and all photographic-based work is welcome, including digital, darkroom, and alternative processes. Students do not need to be a member of TPS or ATPI to enter.

CATEGORIES
This year’s six categories are: Documentary/Photojournalism • Sport & Action • People & Portraits • Still Life • Landscape (Urban/Rural) • Fine Art/Abstract

AWARDS & RECOGNITION
A judging panel of TPS board members will identify First Place, Second Place, Third Place, and Honorable Mentions for each category, plus an overall Best in Show. A complimentary one-year TPS student membership will be awarded to all award winners. All students selected for the show will receive TPS Award Certificates. The images will be featured in an online gallery on the TPS website at texasphoto.org and announced through TPS’s online and social media platforms.

ENTRY FEE
Entry fee is $1 per image (no minimum or maximum entry requirements). ATPI is handling the collection of payments. Therefore, all entry fees must be paid to ATPI through the ATPI contest entry site. U.S. checks are accepted. Checks must be made out to ATPI. Payment with credit card can be arranged by contacting ATPI at info@atpi.org.

Students do not have to be a member of either TPS or ATPI to enter. However, students who are interested in becoming a member of TPS can join as a student member. Entry fees are non-refundable.

ENTRY GUIDELINES
All images and payments must be submitted through ATPI’s contest entry site. Payments must be mailed to ATPI at PO Box 4647, Wichita Falls, TX 76308. For details regarding submission guidelines, please visit ATPI's submission guidelines page. If you have not used the ATPI online contest system, please know that the teacher is responsible for registering on the site and then adding student accounts so that the students can upload their entries. If you encounter any troubles with the ATPI site, please email info@atpi.org.

ELIGIBILITY
The 2024 TPS International Student Competition is open to all current high school, middle school, and elementary school students. Images selected previously for a TPS competition are not eligible.

TPS TERMS AND AGREEMENT
You retain all rights to your images. If your image is selected for the exhibition, you grant Texas Photographic Society (TPS) the right, in perpetuity, to use and display your image, image title and process, your name, city, state and country of residence, and school name for TPS publicity, promotional and educational purposes, through publications, online and social media platforms and other promotional materials, without further contact from TPS. Please note that we may have to crop images to meet space/proportion requirements for promotional platforms. You understand that TPS will not be held responsible for loss, theft or other damage, whether caused by the negligence of its officers, members or others. All entry and membership fees are non-refundable.
