Image Critique and Portfolio Reviews

Image Critique and Portfolio Review Program

Texas Photographic Society is proud to present an online image critique and portfolio review program exclusively for its members. Participants can choose to have commercial/fine art photographer and educator Edgar Miller, or artist, educator, curator, and former TPS Executive Director Sarah Sudhoff review their work. These 55-minute sessions are private one-on-one reviews held via Zoom. From the convenience of your home, you will be able to share 10 to 20 stand-alone images or a series of images, and receive meaningful feedback about your work in a casual video conference format. We think all levels of photographers - from beginning to advanced - can benefit from this terrific opportunity for a fresh perpective on their work!

About Image Critiques and Portfolio Reviews

The purpose of the reviews is to provide unbiased, constructive feedback - targeted on your work and specific to your concerns - that will help guide you in a direction of improvement. By pointing out both strengths and weaknesses, you will learn how to improve aspects of your photography. Both Sarah and Edgar are happy to focus on areas of discussion that will best support your photographic journey, utilizing their specific areas of expertise.

Sarah
is particularly interested in talking with anyone looking to develop their personal projects, find their visual voice, start data driven or research based projects, or seek guidance on their website or portfolio or artist statements. Edgar is eager to discuss the technical, the aesthetic and the inspiration/story/message of the images, and also touch on equipment review and image making techniques.

Review Fee and Eligibility

The fee per 55-minute session is $64—a nod to the renowned Group f/64 photographers and their pursuit of perfection in the field. You must be a current TPS member to register.
