In partnership with the Association of Texas Photography Instructors (ATPI), TPS is thrilled to offer once again a photography competition, for 2019 high school graduates as well as current middle school and high school students across the country. All skill levels are encouraged, and all photographic-based work is welcome including digital, darkroom, and alternative processes. Students do not need to be a member of TPS to enter. Categories
This year’s categories are: People & Portraits / Travel & Place/ Athletics & Sports

Awards & Recognition
A panel of judges made up of TPS board members will identify First Place, Second Place, and Third Place awards in addition to Honorable Mentions for each category. A Best of Show overall will also be granted. And, TPS Exhibiting Artist Certificates along will a one-year complementary membership will be awarded to all students chosen for the show. The final selection of images will be featured in an online gallery on the TPS website and announced prominently across all of TPS’s social media platforms.

Entry Fee
Entry fee is $1 per image (no minimum or maximum entry requirements). All students currently enrolled in either middle or high school or who will graduate from high school in 2019 may enter the competition. Students do not have to be a member of either TPS or ATPI to enter.

Entry Guidelines
All images and payments must be submitted through ATPI’s contest entry site. For details regarding submission guidelines, please visit ATPI's submission guidelines page. If you have not used the ATPI online contest system, please know that the teacher is responsible for registering on the site and then adding student accounts so that the student can upload their entries. If you encounter any troubles with the ATPI site, please email info@atpi.org.

Eligibility
TPS National Student Competition is open to all 2019 high school graduates as well as current middle and high school students based in the United States. Students do NOT need to be a member of TPS to enter. However, students that are interested in becoming members of TPS please can join as a student member.

Reproduction
TPS and the venue retain the right to display, project and reproduce the work selected for this exhibition for publicity and promotional purposes. It is understood that artwork may be photographed, telecast and reproduced for publication and educational purposes connected with this exhibition and related future promotional materials. Individual photographers retain copyright to their individual works.
